1)     Brief Introduction:

Hung Yiu Chung Chung(50677490)  msc97hyc@gmail.com
I am a local student graduated from CityU with a BBA (Information Systems) in 2008. I have been analyst programmer serving different service industries. My current job relates to project-based task serving the customers globally in banking industry. Since my job required me to deal with internal customers from various departments, external parties and coworkers around the world. I realize that I need to equip myself to enhance my capability to manage     changeable business environment. With this course, I hope that I can acquire the concrete management theories and soft skills to handle complex matters and complicated communications between different parties.

ZHANG Liyun Sophia52790193zly331@gmail.com
I am Sophia, a full-time MSMIT student. I have no work experience, but some internship experience in TV station and University. My undergraduate major is Broadcasting and TV Journalism (Digital Media), which is almost entirely different from my present major. Learning new knowledge could bring me challenge and accomplishment, that also one of the reasons I have chosen this course.

Qu Hongfen Jane(52550197)  janequ17@gmail.com
I am from Chengdu, Sichuan Province, where the majority of the world’s giant pandas reside, and where I reaped my college degree. I had worked for about 7 years, firstly in a translation company, then to a gold mining company. To better facilitate my understanding of business environment and operation, I came to CityU to study business administration. I hope I can master some practical skills and tactics which will be proven to be useful for my future jobs.

2)     An Introduction to your group name that explains why and how your group chooses the particular group name

Our creative member Sophia came up with the group name “Wings”. Obviously, wings have to be a pair for a bird to fly, and with one wing a bird will not be able to hover again. In this way, we want to express the idea of success through team work. Besides, “wing” sound like “win”, and a pair of wings is also a metaphor of “win-win” or achievement. In other word, good collaboration is an important factor to get win-win. Just as in this competitive High Performance Collaboration class, with the hard work of our team members, we hope to win in assignments in a narrower sense or triumph through acquisition of skills and tactics in a broader sense — win-win with wings.

3)     An original LOGO for your group and explain why and how the logo represents collaboration.

Obviously our LOGO is a pair of wings with the color of yellow and blue separately, while the overlapping green area is the head of a bird. The three parts symbolize three individuals when looking separately but form a flying bird as a whole. Below the blue wing is the tail, which is actually made by the first letter of our English names. We think the LOGO can exactly entice people to visualize a bird flying in the sky, soaring and hovering with the help of a pair of wings adjusting and balancing constantly, symbolizing using skills and tactics to balance the interests of all sides so as to achieve a satisfactory outcome eventually, as what we regularly see in collaboration process.
